From my own experience, therapy is what you make of it

It is not just limited to the weekly  50 minute sessions but also what you do outside of it, that changes you...

Why I Became
a Therapist

My path to becoming a therapist wasn't a straight line. it was shaped by my own experiences with struggle, healing, and the profound impact of having someone truly listen without judgment.

I found myself accessing counselling when I was younger and noticing that I was always having to explain my culture in order to be understood in sessions. This could often take over what I actually needed in those sessions. I noticed that the support and advice I received came from a Westernised perspective.

Whilst therapy has often been created in a Western understanding, that does not mean all those that require or benefit from it, are from such backgrounds.

As such I want to open doors for everyone to access therapy without having to explain themselves from the get go.

"I didn't become a therapist to fix people.
I became a therapist to remind people of their own strength and to offer them a safe space to find their way back to themselves".

My Therapeutic
Approach

This is the space to outline your areas of expertise and the specific services you offer to clients. Highlight your core competencies and the depth of knowledge you bring to each practice area.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

We'll explore the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and develop practical strategies to shift unhelpful patterns.

Trauma-Informed Care

I understand that trauma lives in the body and the nervous system, not just the mind. Our work will honor your pace and prioritize your sense of safety above all else.

Mindfulness-Based Techniques

I'll introduce grounding and mindfulness practices to help you stay present, manage overwhelming emotions, and reconnect with your body.

Narrative Therapy

Your story matters. We'll examine the narratives you've been told (and told yourself) and work together to rewrite the ones that no longer serve you.

Flash Technique

For clients dealing with trauma and PTSD, Flash technique can be a powerful tool for processing painful memories and reducing their emotional charge within a single or multiple sessions.
